He leads a scientific research team, firstly realizing “Quantum Anomalous Hall Effect”, making sensations of the world. The achievements will promote the development of next generation of lower energy transistors and electronic device, boosting the process of information technique revolution and making Chinese science stand on strategic commanding elevation of next information revolution.

Yang Zhenning
Advisory Board Director

China's First Nobel Laureate in Physics, Foreign Member Chinese Academy of Sciences, He has been elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society, the National Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society and the Russian Academy of Sciences, and honorary member of Japan's Academy of Sciences. He has proposed many important suggestions in Chinese science policy, greatly promoting the exchanges and cooperation in science and technology of China and America.

Gu Binglin
President of Institute for Cross-Strait Development

Former President of Tsinghua University, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Physicist and Material Scientist. He has been elected as a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences, the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, and Chairman of the Technology Division of China Academy of Science. He is now also a member of the State Council Academic Degree Committee and National Science and Technology Award Committee, the president of Beijing Association for Science and Technology, and member of the 11st and 12th Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

Institute for Cross-Strait Development, Tsinghua University (hereinafter referred to as ICSD) carries president responsibility system led by management committee, the supreme decision-making body responsible for deciding development strategy and academic direction of ICSD, annual project plans and budgeting considerations, decision-making of other major matters, supervision of daily work of ICSD and so on.

ICSD has built high-level advisory board, providing macro guidance and strategic support from systemic and professional perspectives. Mr Yang Zhenning was engaged as the director of the first advisory board, and all members are professional strategy scholars, scientists and top leaders in cross-Strait related fields.

ICSD has also built high-level council, the support department for ICSD’s development. It mainly consists of industrialists, including many famous enterpreneurs from the cross-Strait four regions.

ICSD now has five business divisions: Technology and Education Division, Medicine and Health Division, Agricultural Cooperation and Promotion Division, Finance and Investment Division and Integrative Division. These divisions are implementing sucjects of ICSD’s research tasks, uniformly managed by ICSD. They have the right to adjust these divisions in accordance with the development of ICSD.
